Malone University Athletics

In October of 2021, Michael Campbell was hired as the first head men's lacrosse coach in the history of Malone University. 

Prior to becoming a Pioneer, Campbell spent five years as the assistant head men’s lacrosse coach, recruiting coordinator, and defensive coordinator at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia.

During his time at EC Campbell helped lead the Lions to their first conference tournament appearance in program history. He also assisted in coaching twelve all-conference players, and had over twenty student-athletes earn a spot on the Conference Carolinas Honor Roll. 

Campbell also has coaching experience with the LB3 Thunder Lacrosse Club and the Southern Express Lacrosse Club. 

A 2016 graduate of Emmanuel College with a Bachelor of Science in history and minor in psychology, Campbell was the captain of the inaugural Lions’ men’s lacrosse team.
