2021-22 will be the sixth season for Ron Miller on the men's basketball coaching staff at Malone.
Miller was a four-year member of the Alderson Broaddus University men’s basketball team and helped the Battlers win a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament Championships in addition to a G-MAC Regular Season Title. He graduated from ABU with a bachelor’s degree in Education and served as a member of the Battlers’ coaching staff in the fall of 2016.
A 2012 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Miller and the Quakers reached the OHSAA Regional Finals in 2012 under the direction of current Massillon Perry head coach Chad Spurgeon.
Miller conducted his own summer skills camps while in college and also gained coaching experience working for Point Guard College.
“We are thrilled to have Ron on board with us,” commented Pioneer head coach Casey Kaufman when Miller joined his staff in January of 2017. “His experience as a player in the G-MAC will serve us well in our transition to the conference and his experience as a coach will help with the development of our players. Most importantly, Ron’s love for the game and work ethic are the type of characteristics we want here at Malone.”
Miller is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at the University.
