Josiah McNair

Josiah McNair has been named a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Malone University men's basketball team starting in 2025-26, a program coming off their second Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
 
Prior to joining the Malone coaching staff, he spent four years as a student manager for the University of Akron men's basketball program. During his time with the Zips, the team earned NCAA Tournament berths in 2022, 2024, and 2025, and captured the Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season championship in 2025. McNair's responsibilities included assisting with player development, filming practices, supporting the scout team, and contributing to opponent personnel preparation.
 
Josiah graduated from the University of Akron in May 2025 with a bachelor's degree in sport coaching education and a minor in psychology. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he attended Lutheran High School West.
