Ebiowei Porbeni will serve as a student assistant on the Pioneer coaching staff during the 2011-12 season as he wraps up his bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After transferring to Malone from Trinity Christian (IL) College, Porbeni was a key component of the Pioneers’ lineup during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
Porbeni appeared in a total of 60 games at the forward position during his two years in a Malone uniform. He posted career averages of 10.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest as a Pioneer and was tabbed All-AMC (American Mideast Conference) Honorable Mention at the conclusion of both seasons.
