Biography

2020: In a Coronavirus-shortened season, Jones pitched in four games and made one start for the Pioneers... Held a record of 1-1, pitched 3.0 innings and gave up five earned runs... Pitched two innings of one-hit baseball in a 5-4 victory over West Liberty (2/21/20).

2019: Jones pitched in 15 games, including two starts, during a breakout junior season…Posted a 4-1 record with a 3.22 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 50.1 innings pitched…Earned first collegiate win after tossing four innings of scoreless relief against Tiffin (3/2/19)…Registered a season-high six strikeouts over six innings of one-run relief in 17-inning win over Assumption (3/4/19)…Struck out four and did not allow an earned run over a season-high seven innings in first collegiate start against Tiffin (3/19/19)…Posted a team-best 1.11 WHIP on the season…Allowed opponents to hit just .213 against him, third-lowest rate in the G-MAC
