Biography

2020: In a Coronavirus-shortened 2020 season, Walker made three starts for the Pioneers, going at least 6.0 innings in all games... Held a 1-0 record with 19.1 innings pitched, 20 strikeouts, 2.79 ERA, and baffled opposing hitters with a .215 batting average against the right-hander... Picked up a win against West Liberty (2/29/20) and threw 6.0 innings, struck out eight and surrendered only three hits and two runs in a 5-2 win.

2019: Walker was outstanding during a breakthrough junior season, appearing in 10 games, including nine starts…Posted a 4-0 record and led the G-MAC with a 2.40 ERA…Registered 41 strikeouts in 56.1 innings pitched…Recorded a 1.29 WHIP and a .248 batting average against…Tossed six scoreless innings and collected a season-high seven strikeouts in a win over Nyack (3/9/19)…Pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout against Lake Erie (3/31/19)

2018: Pitched in 10 games during his sophomore season, making nine relief appearances and his first collegiate start against nationally-ranked Mercyhurst (3/26/18)…Totaled six strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched…Recorded two Ks in a season-long 2.1 innings against Illinois Springfield (2/23/18)

2017: Walker made eight relief appearances for the Pioneers…Recorded an 0-1 record with two strikeouts in 6.1 innings pitched

Prior to Malone: As a senior at Lutheran West, Walker went 3-1 with a 1.36 ERA and 48 strikeouts across 36 innings pitched. Named First Team All-Patriot Athletic Conference and Second Team All-District.
