Taylore Baker returns for his second season on the Pioneer coaching staff in 2016 after wrapping up his collegiate playing career in the spring of 2015.
Baker, who transferred to Malone from Northern Kentucky University, was a fixture in the Pioneers’ starting pitching rotation in both 2013 and 2014. Over his 135 innings pitched in a Malone uniform, he compiled a 3.27 career earned run average and a 12-5 record. Baker also tossed seven complete games with one shutout and 101 strikeouts.
Baker received several honors throughout his time as a Pioneer, including being named to the All-GLIAC Second Team in 2014 after leading the conference in innings pitched (86.1) and complete games (six) while ranking second in strikeouts (55).Â
