Malone University Athletics

Jack Sholtis completed his 17th year on the Malone baseball staff in 2020 which was, incredibly, his 48th year of coaching baseball overall.

Jack retired from an incredible coaching career in the Canton Class A League where he served as head coach of the Pizza Oven team for 20 years. He holds the record for most wins in Class A history with 605 and he also has eight Class A championships to his credit.  Jack even had one athlete from Class A (Shawn Alazaus) sign with the New York Yankees in the late 1990’s. In addition, he was inducted into the Canton baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.

Jack and his wife, Joyce, reside in North Canton and they have three grown children.
