Pioneer Softball Field

Malone’s softball field was constructed on the University’s campus prior to the program’s inaugural season in 1992. The field is located on the northwest side of campus behind the Brehme Centennial Center. The facility, which hosts various amateur softball leagues during the summer months, has home and visiting dugouts and a lighted scoreboard beyond the leftfield fence.

A new press box and signage was added to the field prior to the 2016 season.  Expanded protective fencing was also recently added to the dugout areas

Notably, the first hit on the field was a homerun, crushed by Malone freshman Melanie Troyer during the first inning of the Pioneers' first-ever home contest which was held on April 8, 1992 against Walsh University.
