GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Malone University softball team saw
Mia Rose chosen as the NCCAA Pitcher of the Week.
The junior from Gnadenhutten, Ohio helped lead the Pioneers to a 4-2 week with three complete games in the circle. Rose was 2-1 with a 1.00 ERA over 21.0 innings. She struck out 21 batters and became the program's all-time leading strikeout artist in the team's win at Walsh University on Friday. She fanned 11 in the most recent win at Lake Erie College.
Rose has emerged as one of the top pitcher in the entire NCCAA with a 1.87 ERA on the year with 120 strikeouts, the second-highest K total in the association. She has a 13-8 record as a pitcher and has Malone currently in a position to qualify for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament.
The Pioneers compete against Ursuline College on April 21 for their next games. The action begins at 3:00 P.M.
