GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Malone University men's lacrosse team was defeated by #4 Seton Hill University by a score of 29-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers fall to 5-8 overall and 3-4 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play. The Griffins are 10-1 on the year and a perfect 5-0 inside the league.
Malone was shutout in the first half and fell behind 17-0 at the midpoint in the game.
Talon Heath scored the team's first goal with 7:43 to play in the third quarter and
John Mautz III added one more in the fourth quarter.
Seton Hill outshot the Pioneers 81-22 and put an impressive 51 shots on-goal. The Griffins won 31 of the 34 face-offs and won ground balls 67-15.
Nick Sanderson (4-5) made 21 saves, one off his career-high.
Malone is in action once again on Saturday, April 12 at Lake Erie College.
