Zac Smargiasso First Team and Talon Heath Second Team All-Conference for Men's Lacrosse

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has unveiled the recipients of the 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Awards. The Malone University men's lacrosse team had two honorees for the third consecutive season.
 
Zac Smargiasso, a junior midfielder from Copley, Ohio, has been named a First Team All-Conference member for the second year in a row. Smargiasso was also received Third Team All-Conference accolades in the program's first season in 2023 and was G-MAC Freshman of the Year.
 
Smargiasso had 15 assists during G-MAC play, a mark that tied him for sixth for most in the league. He added 17 goals to his total as well, the third-most for the Pioneers in nine conference games. Against Davis & Elkins College, Smargiasso tied a season-high with six points (two goals, four assists). He contributed five points (three goals, two assists) in the team's victory against Thomas More University.
 
Senior attack Talon Heath has received Second Team All-Conference honors for Malone. The Elk River, Minnesota native was a member of the First Team All-Conference in 2024 and 2023. Both Smargiasso and Heath are now the program's lone three-time All-Conference postseason award winners.
 
Heath's 24 goals entered him into a five-man tie for third place among the G-MAC leaders in conference play. His 37 points was tied for sixth in the conference individually and he took the second-most shots per game in the league (8.56). Heath tallied a season-high 11 points in a victory over Davis & Elkins with seven goals and four assists.
