WEST LIBERTY, W.V. – The Malone University track & field team began the Tim Weaver Invitational on Friday at West Liberty University. The two-day meet continues on Saturday, March 29 beginning at 10:00 A.M.
 
Gavin Tribelo led the Pioneers with a 19th-place finish in the hammer throw at 38.15 meters (125' 2.00"). Jaclyn Jundzilo fired a 29.94-meter (98' 2.00") toss in the women's hammer throw.
 
Alex Swinehart began the decathlon and had a runner-up finish in the 400-meter run (52.46 seconds). The final results of the decathlon will be collected at the conclusion of the meet. The 1500-meter event began on Friday as well and will wrap up on day two of the meet.
