Canton, OH-- On April 23rd, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced their 2024 Hall of Fame Class! Headlining the inductees is Duke Taylor, former Track and Field Discus Thrower. The G-MAC will honor the class of inductees on May 21st in Blue Ash, Ohio.

Taylor holds the distinction of being the sole three-time NCAA Division II First Team All-American in Malone athletics history. His remarkable achievements culminated in his senior year when he clinched the NCAA Division II discus national championship with a throw of 58.78 meters in 2017, marking a historic milestone as the first Pioneer to secure an NCAA Championship title.

His outstanding achievements were recognized with the 2016-17 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Male Athlete of the Year award. During the G-MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Taylor showcased his versatility by clinching victories in both the discus and hammer throw events, while also achieving a commendable second place in the shot put. Notably, he achieved a personal best in the javelin throw, recording a distance of 36.26 meters.

Finally, Taylor was a two-time first team All-American in the discus (2016, 2017) and became Malone's first NCAA indoor track & field All-American with an eighth-place finish in the weight throw at the 2017 Indoor National Championship Meet.
