Hillsdale, MI-- The Malone University Baseball Team sought to bolster their record against Hillsdale, aiming for another victory. The Pioneer bats were on fire, driving a strong offensive performance.
As a result, they managed to split the doubleheader once again, achieving an even split in the four-game series.

Game One
The Pioneers got off to a strong start, with
Jake Aleman launching a powerful three-run homer in the first inning, setting the tone for the game. They continued to build their lead in the third inning, thanks to a key hit from
Anthony Ryan and a sac RBI from
Zach Flohr, extending their advantage to 5-0.
However, Hillsdale fought back fiercely in the bottom of the third, sparked by an RBI double followed by a massive three-run homer, leveling the score at 5-5. The momentum swung further in the Chargers favor in the fourth and fifth innings, as they capitalized on opportunities to take the lead, ultimately surging ahead 12-5
In the top of the seventh,
JC Philippi kick-started Malone's offense with a sharp single to right field, driving in a run and closing the gap.
Anthony Ryan then added to the momentum with a well-placed single to center field, securing another run.
Despite their efforts, the Pioneers were only able to add one more run in that inning. Hillsdale's solid defense and pitching held firm, securing them a 12-8 victory in game one.
Game Two
The first inning saw Hillsdale take an early lead, capitalizing on a single to right field, which resulted in the game's first run.
Malone responded in the second inning with Cole Maley's crucial double down the left-field line, driving in two runs and putting Malone ahead 2-1. The next inning saw Malone extend their lead, highlighted by
Anthony Ryan's RBI double to left-center, bringing their advantage to 4-1.
The Chargers persisted, hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to reduce the deficit.
In the seventh,
Devin Brown's triple and Munoz's RBI double put Malone ahead 5-2. Despite Hillsdale's ninth-inning rally, Malone's pitching anchored down to help them secure the 5-4 win.
Pitching played a crucial role in Malone's win, with
Ben France pitching five solid innings, allowing only two runs, followed by
TJ Curry's resilient relief effort, and
Michael Paljich closing out the game to secure the save for Malone.
