THE GAME
The struggling Pioneers finished their previous game on a positive note and were hoping to bring the momentum to New York. Talon Heath did just that as he put the Pioneers on the board just 33 seconds into the contest. Luke Ory followed mere minutes later to put the Pioneers up 2-0. The Saints answered back but Ory concluded the first quarter with his second of the game as Malone led 3-1 after one.

Wayne Keating started the second quarter with his first career goal. Finding themselves up 4-1, the Pioneers put the foot on the gas and asserted their dominance. Zac Smargiasso hit pay dirt and he was followed by a pair of Eli Ciotti goals. Kenny Kaiser broke out of his slump as he scored three times in just over 90 seconds. Smargiasso scored once again to leave the Pioneers up 11-1 at the half.

Nolan Winter and Ciotti started the second half off with a set of goals to push the lead to twelve. The saints broke the drought netting a pair but Kaiser and Heath countered to leave Malone up 15-3 heading into the fourth.

The Pioneers let their foot off the gas in the fourth and the Saints were able to win the quarter by a score of 4-2. Smargiasso and John Mautz III were the goal scores for Malone. When it was all said and done, the Pioneers left with a 17-7 win.
