Box Score CANTON, Ohio. – The Malone University women's basketball team (13-9, 9-5 G-MAC) defeated Ohio Dominican University (6-16, 3-11 G-MAC) by a score of 66-60 on Thursday evening, February 8 in Osborne Hall.
The Pioneers started the game pretty slow and had trouble breaking down the stingy Ohio Dominican defensive press. The visitors took advantage of Malone turnovers to build up a decent lead. At the end of the first quarter, the Panthers led 17-13. Things got even more difficult for the hosts as Ohio Dominican turned things on in the second quarter to lead 35-23 at the break. However, in the second half the script flipped and it was Malone that got hot and Ohio Dominican that struggled.
The hosts found themselves down by 14 points in the third but turned things on to tie things up at 55 apiece with just over six minutes remaining in the game. The Pioneers took control of the game and added some distance between them and the Panthers.
Anna Krupa,
