THE GAME
The Lady Pioneers set the tone early as the electric Freshman

Jorjia Meza and put the Pioneers up 2-0. The Bobcats fired back to cut the lead to one heading into the second.Â
The second period was a defensive battle as both sides struggled to make any headway. The Pioneers scored the only points of the period just 38Â seconds apart as
Emma Weintz and
Jorjia Meza each tallied their first goals to leave the Pioneers up 4-1 at the half.
Each team came out of the half with a purpose as both sides tallied a pair of goals within the first six minutes of the 3rd quarter. Following a third Bobcat goal that cut the deficit to two, the Pioneers took control. Burns torched the defense for her fourth goal of the day.
Olivia Marcantonio and
Seanna McDougall each ripped twine for the first time as Malone found themselves ahead 9-4 through three.Â
Burns opened the 4th with her fifth and final goal. The Bobcats attempted a final comeback as they netted two more, but their efforts fell short. As the clock hit all zeros, the elated Lady Pioneers celebrated their hard fought 10-6 victory.Â
