GREENVILLE, S.C. – In the final iteration of the NCCAA Stat Report for cross country, the Malone University men's and women's programs held their third-place spots.
While those teams have not changed, there was movement above the Pioneers on the men's side as Grace College overtook Cedarville University for the top spot.
Malone is preparing for the NCAA Midwest Regional championship event at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois on Saturday, November 9. The Pioneers saw the course earlier this season at the Lewis Crossover event. Senior
Rylee Yocum (23:03.2) and sophomore
Alex Hill (25:36.2) paced the field for Malone. That event is the final prior to the NCCAA National Championships on Friday, November 15 in Warsaw, Indiana.
Most recently, the Pioneers placed seventh on the men's side and fifth on the women's side at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Cross Country Championship event at Hillsdale College. Malone will look to improve in order to qualify for the NCAA Championships held on Saturday, November 23 in Sacramento, California.
