CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University women's soccer team took on the University of Findlay Oilers this Saturday at Pioneer Park. The Pioneers lost by a score of 3-0 and now hold an overall record of 7-5-1 and 5-5-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The Oilers are now 5-4-2 overall and 5-3-1 in the G-MAC.
Findlay scored their first goal in the 39th minute thanks to an outnumbered situation. This made the score 1-0 at the end of the first half.
The Oilers scored their second goal in the 57th minute off a penalty kick. Their third goal was quickly after in the 60th minute. This made the final score of the game 3-0.
Findlay outshot Malone by a total of 29-5.
Morgan Ross had two shots, both of which were on-goal.
Amelia Henderhan (6-5-1) was able to complete 14 saves compared to Findlay's three. Henderhan,
Hannah Hubbard, and
Madison Woodward each played the entire 90 minutes.
Malone's next game is against Thomas More at Pioneer Park. Kickoff will start at 6:00 P.M. for a G-MAC matchup.
