CANTON -- The Malone University men's soccer team was back on their home turf Saturday afternoon for another non-conference match. 

The Pioneers welcomed the Daemen University Wildcats to Canton.

Daemen got on the scoreboard first just over five minutes into the game. 

The visitors added another tally to their total in the eighteenth minute, and then maintained that 2-0 lead for the remainder of the first half. 

The Pioneers did put 10 shots up in the first 45 minutes, but only three of those were on frame. 

Gavin Csiszar brought Malone to within one when he notched his second goal of the season in the 54th minute. 

Unfortunately the Wildcats got a late goal in the 89th minute to secure the 3-1 win.

Malone heads out on the road for the first time this season. The Pioneers travel to California University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference match.

Wednesday will be the final non-conference match of the year before the schedule shifts to Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.
