CANTON -- The Malone University women's soccer team opened up the 2023 season at home on Thursday evening.
The Pioneers welcomed West Liberty University to King Field for a non-conference match.

The scoring came early and often in the first half, as the teams went to the halftime break knotted at 2-2.Â
For the Pioneers,
Teegan Graff found the back of the net twice. Once in the sixth minute off of a free kick opportunity.Â
She scored again in the 33rd minute to tie the game at 2-2.Â
Malone got what would prove to be the game winning goal from
Morgan Ross in the 64th minute, and held on down the stretch for the 3-2 opening night win.
Kassidy Cannon played all 90 minutes in goal. She made a pair of saves. Â
