GAME ONE
The Yellow Jackets struck early in the first inning, as their first batter got on base and scored as the second batter grounded out to the Pioneer shortstop, Madi Pukansky.
Amber Miller was the first Pioneer on base with her double down the left field line, but was unable to get in.
Cedarville got another score in the bottom of the fourth. Reagan Smith responded as she opened the top of the fifth with a double down the right line. But was unable to get to third before the inning ended.
Miller and Smith both got on base early in the top of the seventh inning to set up a potential rally but Smith was out on a fielder's choice at second base and Miller only got to third before Cedarville closed out the game.
GAME TWO
Malone got Taylor Kern on base early in the game with a single to left field, but they were unable to get her home.
The Pioneers' defense was key in the bottom of the first inning as Jensen Miller threw from her spot in the circle to first, then Karlie Duvall caught a pop up and handled a ground ball to get the final out of the inning.
Inning two saw the Pioneers load the bases with hits from Smith, Emily Spada, and Amber Burick but with bases loaded and two outs, the Pioneers were unable to score.
The only two other base runners Malone had for the game were when Smith was hit by a pitch in the top of the fourth and when Pakansky reached on a throwing error in the following inning.
Meanwhile, Cedarville was able to earn the walk off in the bottom of the sixth inning as they defeated the visiting Pioneers 8-0.
