GREENSBURG, PA. -- The Malone University men's lacrosse team hosted #8 nationally ranked team, Mercyhurst University.
Mercyhurst came out fast and never looked back on their way to a 23-8 win.

THE GAME
The two sides traded goals early on in the first quarter with
Ramsey Burnard matching a Lakers' goal to tie the game at 1-1 near the 8 minute mark of the quarter.
Mercyhurst outscored the Pioneers 7-3 in the first, with
Nolan Winter and
Talon Heath closing out the quarter.
In the second quarter, Malone wa outscored 8-1, with
Zac Smargiasso finding the back of the Lakers' net.
The Lakers then outscored the Pioneers 6-1 in the third quarter, where
Talon Heath was able to score.
Malone managed to outscore #8 Mercyhurst 3-2 in the fourth by way of two
Talon Heath goals and a
Zac Smargiasso goal.
Mercyhurst University came away with the 23-8 win.
