Canton, OH--The Malone University men's basketball team (5-4,0-3 G-MAC) fell to Trevecca Nazarene 6-3,3-0 G-MAC on Saturday, December 9 by a score of 69-65.
In a closely contested game at Osborne Hall, Trevecca Nazarene secured a hard-fought victory over Malone with a final score of 69-65. The Trojans overall shooting percentages for the game stood at 41.4% from the field, 41.2% from three-point range, and an impressive 77.8% from the free-throw line. Malone had a tough time with Jalen Page who had 26 points and was also 4-5 from beyond the arch. Despite a hard-fought effort, Malone came up short in the end. Malone's shooting percentages for the game were 39.7% from the field, 30.8% from three-point range, and 77.8% from the free-throw line. The team showed resilience in the second half, shooting 50% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc during that period. Malone tried to make a late comeback but they just ran out of time falling short 69-65.
