CANTON, Ohio. — The Malone University volleyball team (5-24, 3-14 G-MAC) fell to receiving-votes Hillsdale College (23-5, 15-2 G-MAC) in three sets on Thursday evening in Osborne Hall.
The visitors jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first set, giving the Chargers a solid start en route to a 25-14 victory. In the second set, the Pioneers hung around and made things tough for Hillsdale and trailed just 13-11 at one point. However, Hillsdale pulled away and won 25-19 to make it 2-0. In the third set, Malone led 4-0 and then 7-2, but Hillsdale showed their quality and completed the comeback for the 25-23 and the 3-0 sweep.

Brianne Salinas led the Pioneers offensively with six kills.
Gabi Smith added five kills and two blocks.
Gabby Pelfrey had a nice night as she totaled 10 assists.
Mallory Meinen added eight assists.
Macy McCauley totaled 20 digs on the evening.
What's Next
The Pioneers will be back in action on Friday, November 10 as they host Ohio Dominican University in Osborne Hall with a 7:00 p.m. start time.
