CANTON, Ohio. — The Malone University men's basketball team (5-0, 0-0 G-MAC) defeated Penn State University DuBois (2-4, 1-1 PSUAC) by a score of 107-63 on Tuesday evening, November 22 in Osborne Hall.
The Pioneers had some early trouble with the constant, full-court pressure of the Nittany Lions, but soon found they could break the press and exploited DuBois' game plan. The Pioneers held a healthy 50-23 lead at the half and continued their scoring barrage in the second half. Despite a season-high 16 turnovers as a result of the Nittany Lions' press, the Pioneers shot 65.2% (45-69) from the field and were 55.6% (10-18) from three-point range. Additionally, Malone scored 22 points off turnovers and were helped by 42 points off the bench.
Inside the Box Score
Caleb Conard led the Pioneers offensively as the redshirt sophomore from Sunbury, Ohio had 22 points and added seven rebounds and two steals.
Aaron Badibo added 16 points, six rebounds, two blocks, two assists, and a steal.
Jaelyn Etheridge put up 14 points and had four rebounds and three assists.
Carter Piatt chipped in with 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
Maijhe Wiley had nine points and eight rebounds.
Tahleik Walker and
Simon Blair added eight points and six assists apiece and Walker also brought in seven rebounds.
What's Next
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, November 25 as they travel to Glenville, West Virginia to face off with Glenville State University. The game is scheduled to have a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
