Women's Basketball Held at Pitt-Johnstown

Box Score JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – The Malone University women's basketball team (1-2, 0-0 G-MAC) fell to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (3-0, 0-0 PSAC) by a score of 56-5- on Wednesday evening, November 15.

The Pioneers led 22-16 after the first quarter and seemed to have a control on the game after a hot start of shooting 57.14% from the field compared to the Mountain Cats' 40%. Even at the half, the Pioneers led 33-29. However, the hosts battled back and the stingy Mountain Cat defense held Malone to just 17 second half points to secure the win. The loss is Malone's second in a row after winning the season opener.

Inside the Box Score

Erin Kaufman had a great night for the Pioneers as she scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and had two steals and a block.

Brinn Hunt chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.

Kyli Horn added 10 points, three assists, and two rebounds.

Aila Miller had six points and four rebounds.

What's Next

The Pioneers will travel to Greensburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 18 to take on Seton Hill University in a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
