CANTON, Ohio. — The Malone University volleyball team (5-26, 3-16 G-MAC) lost in five sets to Ashland University (22-9, 15-4 G-MAC) on Saturday, November 11 in Osborne Hall.
In the final regular season game of the season, Ashland and Malone put on a thrilling five-set display for fans. The Pioneers took the first set 25-23 before the Eagles took the next two by scores of 25-20 and 25-18. The Pioneers stayed alive and forced a fifth set by winning the fourth set 25-22. The Eagles prevailed in the fifth set to claim the victory but the Pioneers have plenty to be proud of. The season finale was one of the Pioneers' best showings of the season and sets the tone for the offseason.

Gabby Rodriguez had a day as the freshman compiled 21 kills and 11 digs.
Grace Rosko added 11 kills and three total blocks.
Brianne Salinas totaled 10 kills and five blocks.
Mallory Meinen had 29 assists and nine digs.
Macy McCauley led the team with 25 digs.
