MIDLAND, Mich. -- The 2022 season began on Saturday for the Malone University cross country program. 

The Pioneers competed in the Northwood Invitational at Fisher Fields/Fisher Family Trails on the campus of Northwood University. 

In the women's 5k event Malone finished second out of four teams with a team score of 44 points. 

On the men's side the Pioneers finished third out of five teams with a team score of 64 in the 6k race. 

Wayne State University picked up the overall wins in both the women's and men's races.
