THE GAME
Brooklyn Troyer opened the game with a layup and a three-pointer in the Pioneers first two possessions. Malone's offense and defense quickly got to work in the first quarter as the Trojans found themselves own 17-4 after just six minutes of play.

At the end of the first quarter, Trevecca tried for a three-pointer, but Erin Kaufman blocked it to keep the Pioneer lead at eight points.

Kaufman passed the ball to Alexis Hutchison who scored within the first five seconds of the second quarter. Kyli Horn's two free-throws at the 7:14 mark gave Malone their largest lead of the first half at 15.

Emma Kallas kept finding the net during the second quarter as she scored eight points, including the final score before halftime to send the Pioneers to the locker room with an 41-30 lead.

While the Trojans scored first in the second half, Malone responded with two fastbreak layups by Kallas and Hutchison. Following another shot from Hutchison, Trevecca tried to close the gap on the scoreboard, but their three straight layups only brought them within five.

Troyer closed the third quarter with a three-pointer and Horn opened the final period with a three-pointer of her own. Kallas gave the Pioneers their double-digit lead back with a three-pointer three minutes into the fourth.

Kallas, Horn, and Kaufman combined to give Malone a nine-point run. Hutchison gave the Pioneers their largest lead of the night as they went up 75-58 with 1:31 remaining in the game.
