CANTON, Ohio -- The Malone University women's soccer team closes out the home portion of their schedule this afternoon. The Pioneers are set to host Ohio Valley University in a crucial Great Midwest Athletic Conference match.

MALONE-OHIO VALLEY SOCCER SERIES
This afternoon's match will be the eighth meeting all-time between Malone and OVU on the pitch. The Pioneers have dominated the all-time series winning five of the previous seven matchups.
Despite Malone's overall success in the series, Ohio Valley has won the last two meetings.
The last Pioneer victory came in October of 2016, a 5-1 win at home.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
Spectators and fans of both the Pioneers and the visiting teams are both welcome and encouraged to attend. Malone University is required to abide by GlenOak High School's COVID-19 protocols.
All spectators are required to wear a mask, only sit with members of their groups and families, and remain socially distant from other groups and families.
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS
- Their last time out Malone picked up another point in the conference standings after they battled Kentucky Wesleyan to a 1-1 draw on Senior Day. Coming into play today the Pioneers are tied with Ohio Dominican and Ohio Valley for third-place in the G-MAC standings. All three schools each have seven conference points.

Madeline Ault had the team's lone goal in Saturday's draw. That was her third goal of the season, moving her into a tie for the top spot in the conference.

As a team the Pioneers continue to lead the G-MAC in scoring with nine total goals. Malone's offense remains very balanced. The nine goals have been scored by a total of six different players. Only Ault and Sally Culig have multiple goals this season.
- Since making her return to the lineup, Jessica Morgan has played all 397:28 in goal for the Pioneers. She has made 19 saves.

Keeley Malley still leads the G-MAC in shots on goal by a wide margin. 19 of her 25 shots this season have been on target. No one else is the conference has more than eight shots on goal.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
Ohio Valley enters play off of their first loss of the season, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Walsh on Saturday. Prior to that the Fighting Scots had won back-to-back games over both Cedarville and Lake Erie.
OVU's offense is similar to Malone's in that three different players have scored the team's goals this year. Marianna Bayona, Ximena Jauregui and Oihane Abascal all have goals this season for the Scots.
Defensively Sindi Kanto has played every second in goal for Ohio Valley. She has made 10 saves and surrendered just a pair of goals.

Malone heads out on the road next week. The Pioneers travel to Tiffin University on April 6 for a 12:00 p.m. kick-off.
