CANTON, Ohio -- This afternoon the Malone University volleyball team will play their second home match of the weekend when they host the University of Findlay Oilers in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.

MALONE-FINDLAY SERIES
This afternoon is the only scheduled match between these two programs this season. They last met in November of 2019 when the Oilers picked up a four-set win at home. 
The last Pioneer win in the series came in November of 2012.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS 
Due to current local health regulations, a limited number of spectators will be permitted to attend each game played inside Osborne Hall. Right now, this access is limited to families of Malone University players and coaches. There is also a ticket allotment given to the visiting team. These tickets will continue to be pre-sale only, and must be redeemed ahead of time through our online ticketing partner Eventbrite.
There are still no walk-up transactions permitted at the gate.
Malone University will adhere to school, local and state guidelines as it pertains to the COVID-19 pandemic. If patrons are feeling ill, we ask that you remain home.
All patrons are asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the gym. We also ask that patrons exit the building immediately following the contest.
 
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS
	- Anna Mallette continues to rank near the top of the conference offensively. Her 4.11 kills per set is second-best in the G-MAC. She leads the Pioneers with 39.5 points this season.
- 
	Abbie Swaino, who assisted on 22 of the 25 Malone kills in last night's loss to Ohio Dominican, now leads the team with 48 assists on the season. 
- 
	As a team the Pioneers enter play averaging 10.08 kills per set. Defensively Malone is allowing 12.00 kills each set. 
- 
	The Pioneers have recorded 184 digs this season. Molly Bullion (42) and Cierra Gurney (30) lead the way in that department. 
- 
	Anna Hopple continues to be a weapon from the service line for Malone. She leads the Pioneers with five aces this season. 
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
The Oilers enter play coming off of a 3-0 win at Cedarville last night. Findlay is now 3-1 on the season. They also hold wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene.
Findlay carries the league's third-best offense and fifth-best defense into today's match. The Oilers have a .222 hitting percentage and are limiting their opponents to a .143 mark. 
Freshman Hannah Warrington leads the Findlay offense with 50 total points on the season, while sophomore Emma Meyer is the defensive catalyst with a team-high 14 blocks.

The Pioneers
 will continue this long stretch of home matches next week when they host Tiffin University on Friday, February 12. Malone will host their Senior Day festivities prior to the 7:00 p.m. first serve.
