MALONE-OHIO DOMINICAN SERIES
Tonight will be the 43rd meeting all-time on the volleyball court between the Pioneers and Panthers. Ohio Dominican holds a slim 22-20 lead in the series.

These two teams last played in September of 2019 when Malone opened up G-MAC play with a four-set (25-23, 25-11, 14-25, 25-20) win.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS 
Due to current local health regulations, a limited number of spectators will be permitted to attend each game played inside Osborne Hall. Right now, this access is limited to families of Malone University players and coaches. There is also a ticket allotment given to the visiting team. These tickets will continue to be pre-sale only, and must be redeemed ahead of time through our online ticketing partner Eventbrite.

There are still no walk-up transactions permitted at the gate.

Malone University will adhere to school, local and state guidelines as it pertains to the COVID-19 pandemic. If patrons are feeling ill, we ask that you remain home.

All patrons are asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the gym. We also ask that patrons exit the building immediately following the contest.
 

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS

1. The Pioneers have made the most of their opportunities early on this season, especially from the service line. Malone averages a G-MAC leading 2.22 aces per set. Anna Hopple leads the team with five aces. 

2. Anna Mallette had another 10 kill performance in the Pioneers' most recent match, a 3-0 loss to then No. 12 Hillsdale College. Mallette is averagaing 4.11 kills per set which is the second-best mark in the conference. 

3. Audra Kocher and Abbie Swaino have combined for 68 of the team's 88 assists so far this season.

4. As a team, the Malone offense enters play averaging 10.67 kills per set and 9.78 assists per set.

5. On the defensive side of the net the Pioneers average 17.0 digs and 0.67 blocks per set. Molly Bullion and Mallette are tied for the team-lead with 29 digs each. 

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
The Panthers enter play with a perfect 2-0 record to start the season. They hold wins over both Trevecca Nazarene and Ursuline College. 

Ohio Dominican is the top defensive team in the conference. They have limited their opponents to just a .083 hitting percentage so far on the season. The Panthers have allowed only 69 kills on 253 total attack attempts. 

Individually Abbi Gillison leads the way with nine total blocks. She also has a team-best 22 kills on offense.
