Great Midwest Athletic Conference Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Tuesday the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the Volleyball Athletes of the Week.
Malone University junior
Kristen Hankins earned the nod as the North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week after her performance in a pair of Pioneer wins last week.
Malone University topped Lake Erie College 3-0 on Friday night, and completed the undefeated weekend with a 3-1 win over Ursuline on Saturday.
Hankins totaled ten total blocks, including three solo blocks in Saturday's victory over the Arrows. She also had nine kills offensively on the week.
Hankins currently ranks third in the G-MAC with 90 total blocks this season. She is averaging an even 1.0 block per set.
