CANTON, Ohio -- On Tuesday, the Malone University men's soccer team faced off against Findlay University for the final match up of the season for the Pioneers.
The Oilers (8-8-1) came in with momentum and scored quick against the Malone Pioneers (1-17-0). The Oilers kept the momentum rolling in the second half to finish off the Pioneer men to end the season.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Oilers came out of the gate fast, scoring in the first 6 minutes. The Oilers ended up scoring two more goals later in the half to make it 3-0 at the break.
To open up the second half, the Oilers scored two in the first 10 minutes of the half. Malone was able to rally back and get some decent shots off but none were able to find the back of the net.
The Oilers ended up scoring a late goal in the 81st minute to put the game to rest, making it a 6-0 win for the Oilers.
Malone finishes the 2021 season with a record of 1-17-0.

- Malone was out shot by Findlay 16-9.
- The Pioneers came away with five saves in comparison to only three by Findlay.
