CANTON, Ohio -- The Malone University women's basketball team heads back out on the road this weekend to wrap up their regular-season series with Tiffin University.
MALONE-TIFFIN HARDWOOD SERIES
Tomorrow will be the 47th meeting all-time between these two programs. Tiffin holds a slight lead in the overall series 24-22.
These two teams just played back on December 9, and the Dragons escaped Osborne Hall with a 69-61 win.
Prior to that meeting, Malone had won three matchups in a row, including their lone meeting last season on the road 79-58.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS
- Malone dropped their third straight game on Wednesday night, falling at home to Cedarville University 87-58.

Against the Yellow Jackets, Alexis Hutchison led the Pioneers with a season-high 16 points. She was 7-14 from the field, including 2-3 from beyond the three-point line. She also pulled down a team-high 8 rebounds. Robin Campbell also hit a season-high with 14 points. She led the way with five assists on the offensive end of the floor.

Holly Groff continues to lead Malone offensively, averaging 14.8 points per game. The redshirt-senior now sits at 977 career points, just 23 points away from the 1,000th of her Pioneer career.

Madison Hunter currently leads the G-MAC in free-throw percentage. The junior is a perfect 8-8 from the line so far this year.

Jade Abdulla boasts a 4.5 assist/turnover ratio which is second best in the conference. She has nine assists and just two turnovers on the year.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
The Dragons enter tomorrow's matchup reeling after a 78-52 loss on Wednesday night at G-MAC preseason favorite Walsh University. Tiffin is 3-2 overall on the season with wins over Ohio Dominican, Ursuline, and the earlier matchup this month with the Pioneers.
Junior guard Aarion Nichols leads the offensive attack for the Dragons, averaging 17.0 points per game which is sixth best in the conference. She is joined in double-figures by sophomore guard Savannah Richards who is scoring 15.8 points per contest.
On the defensive end of the floor, Nichols leads the entire G-MAC with 15 steals. As a team the Dragons rank third in the league defensively, surrendering just 69 points per game.

After this afternoon's game the Pioneers will break for the holidays. Malone will be back in action on January 2, 2021 when they travel to Trevecca Nazarene University. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. EST.
