Malone Notes
  • The Pioneers enter Saturday's matchup with wins in four straight games. Malone escaped Ohio Valley 85-74 in overtime last Thursday before bouncing back with a convincing 75-57 win over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.
  • Malone, who is 5-3 at home, is ranked third in the G-MAC points rating system.
  • The Pioneer defense ranks second in points allowed. The team is 11-0 when holding opponents under 70 points.
  • Junior guard Holly Groff is averaging 21 points per game over the past four games and a team-high 16.7 ppg this season. She ranks fourth in the league in scoring and leads the G-MAC in three-pointers (47).
  • Robin Campbell delivers a big-time 1-2 punch for the Pioneers, scoring 15.3 ppg (9th in the G-MAC) while leading the team with 55 assists.
  • Sydney Wentling (9.5 ppg) and Ellen Doyle (8.9 ppg) are each averaging five rebounds a night. Wentling, after a 4-for-5 effort from deep at Ohio Valley, is shooting a team-high 45.8% from three-point range.
  • Alexis Hutchison (6.9 ppg) leads the team with 31 steals. She scored 12 in the win over AB last Saturday.

Hillsdale Notes
  • A season removed from reaching the G-MAC semifinal and two seasons removed from winning the whole thing, Hillsdale has experienced some growing pains as of late, losing six of their last seven. The Chargers are just 2-8 on the road.
  • Lauren Daffenberg leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per game.
  • Hillsdale ranks second in NCAA DII in team free-throw percentage and 20th in three-pointers. They are last in the country turnovers forced per game (10.5) and fifth-worst in turnover margin.
