The Malone University softball team split its doubleheader at Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday afternoon, rallying for a 4-2 victory in game one before falling 5-2 in the finale.
The Pioneers' record moved to 10-8 overall and 4-4 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference following Saturday's games in Tennessee. The Trojans, meanwhile, are now 16-9 and 5-1 in conference play.

Game One Recap
The Trojans' Mary Collins delivered a two-out, RBI double to give Trevecca a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
Collins then followed with a solo homer in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 2-0 contest.
Bailey Byers answered back for the Pioneers in the top of the fifth. Following a double by
Madison Corrick, Byers clubbed her ninth homerun of the season over the fence in right center, tying the game at 2-2.
The Pioneers then tacked on two more runs in the top of the seventh. Byers started the inning with a double and then advance to third on an infield single by
April Howser.Â
Serena Tucciarelli put Malone in front with an RBI fielder's choice.Â
Emily Betts later followed with an RBI groundout to stretch the visitors' advantage to 4-2.
The Trojans put one runner on base with two outs in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to manufacture any additional offense as pitcher
Kelsey Byers induced a groundout to end it.
Kelsey Byers picked up her ninth win of the season after tossing all seven innings, limiting the high-powered Trojan offense to two runs on five hits while striking out five.
Bailey Byers was 3-for-4 in the contest with the homer and double while Howser went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Game Two Recap
The Pioneers grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning of game two.Â
Bailey Byers and Tucciarelli got things started with singles before
Kelsey Byers stepped to the plate and ripped a two-run double to left center.Â
The Trojans pulled in front in the bottom of the fourth. Collins tied it up with a two-run homer to right and Tana Whited followed with a solo shot down the leftfield line to put the hosts in front 3-2.
Trevecca then tacked on a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 5-2 contest.
Trojan pitcher Raygn Hall held the Pioneers off the base paths over the final two frames to secure the victory, her sixth of the season.
Bailey Byers registered two of Malone's four hits in the contest.
Kelsey Byers tossed all six innings for the Pioneers.
