The Malone University softball team has a full week of conference games this week, as they will play six games within a four-day span. Due to field conditions at Malone, the Pioneers will play a "home" doubleheader on Wednesday against Davis & Elkins College at Walsh University's field in North Canton. The team will then head on the road to take on Hillsdale College and the University of Findlay on Friday and Saturday.

Davis & Elkins went through a rough stretch this season where they went winless in ten straight games, but have seemed to have gotten back on track as of late. In the past two weeks, the Senators split with Cedarville and swept Alderson Broaddus before getting swept by Hillsdale.

Although she has started just 13 games and appeared in 18, Rhetta Persinger leads the team with a .405 batting average.
