The Malone University men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Cedarville University on Tuesday, January 30th for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) road doubleheader. The women's game will tip off 5:30 pm and the men's game will follow at 7:45 pm. Both Pioneer teams will be looking for revenge after dropping home contests to the Yellow Jackets earlier this month.
Both Pioneer teams will also continue to fight for playoff positioning. The Malone men, now 14-7 overall and 7-6 in the G-MAC, are currently in 5th place. They'll face a Cedarville team that is 5-7 in the G-MAC (10-9 overall) and clinging to 8th place in the conference standings. The 8th-place Malone women (8-10, 6-8 G-MAC) will face a tough test in the Lady Jackets, who are 11-2 in the G-MAC (16-3 overall) and holding on to first place.

- Senior forward Baylen Dyrlund, who leads the Pioneers in scoring at 12.9 points per game, scored a team-high 20 points in the loss to Cedarville. She collected a team-high 10 points and six rebounds in the Pioneers loss to Davis & Elkins this past Thursday.
- Paiten Strother tied a career-high with 14 points against Cedarville. Strother then equaled that mark with 14 points, including four threes, in Malone's 57-46 win over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.
- Holly Groff tallied 13 points against Cedarville four weeks ago. On the year, she is averaging 10.9 points and is third in the conference in assists (3.9 apg).
- Naomi Grandison led Malone with 15 points and eight rebounds in the win over AB. On the season, she is averaging 9.5 points and 5.0 rebounds.
- After seeing her 16-game streak of making at least one three-pointer snapped at D&E, Chrissie Vaughan drained three threes in the win Saturday. Vaughan (10.8 ppg) is 7th in the G-MAC with 42 long balls this season.
- Malone totaled 10 threes in the win at Alderson Broaddus Saturday, tying for second-most in a game this season. The Pioneers are 5th in the G-MAC with 7.9 made threes per game.
- The Pioneers, who are 4-5 on the road this season, are also third in the conference in fewest points allowed at 65.1 ppg, but the 78 scored by Cedarville earlier this year were the most allowed during a game in regulation over the last seasons.

- The Lady Jackets come into Tuesday's game with eight straight victories, including a 100-67 win over Ohio Valley on Saturday. The 100 points were the most scored all season by the Cedarville offense, which is ranked 5th in DII in field goals (47.7%) and number one in the nation in three-point shooting (40.7%).
- Four different players: Regina Hochstetler (17.8 ppg), Baylee Bennett (12.8 ppg), Kaitlyn Holm (11.7 ppg), and Breanne Watterworth (10.5 ppg), are averaging double digits in scoring and all four accomplished the feat against Malone earlier this year. - Senior guard Ty Jordan hit the game-winning shot in the wild win over the Battlers as he finished with 24 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
- Jordan, a 40.1% three-point shooter and an 83.6% free throw shooter, is averaging 19.5 points (3rd in the G-MAC), 5.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. He is one of five players in NCAA DII with a 19-5-4 stat line. He also leads Malone with 34 steals.
- Senior forward Mitchell Spotleson, who has started 103 consecutive games, scored a career-high 25 points over 46 minutes in the win at AB. Spotleson is averaging 12.5 points per game this season and ranks 8th in the G-MAC with 6.9 rebounds per game.
- Junior guard Nate Sheppard is 6th in the conference in scoring at 16.4 ppg and has at least one three-pointer in 12 straight games. He scored a team-high 24 points and tied a career-high with five triples in the loss to Cedarville last month.
- Freshman marksman Jaret Majestic equaled Sheppard with five threes against the Yellow Jackets. Never afraid to pull the trigger, Majestic is shooting 47.9% from distance this season. He scored 14 points with four triples on Saturday and his game-tying, NBA-range three in the final seconds sent the game into overtime.
- Senior forward Djuro Pantos played all 10 overtime minutes on Saturday where he grabbed three of his game-high nine rebounds. He leads the Pioneers in rebounding this season (6.9 rpg) while adding 7.2 points a night.
- As a team, Malone is 2nd in the G-MAC and top-25 in the country in defensive rebounds per game (28.7). The Pioneers are also top-3 in the G-MAC in scoring (78.4 ppg), assists (16.5 apg), free throws (72.2%), threes per game (10.3), three-point percentage (37.6%), and field goal defense (41.3%).
