The Malone University men's soccer team lost 5-1 at home to Walsh University on Wednesday evening. The contest marked the Malone men's final match at Pioneer Field before construction will begin for Pioneer Park. Malone moves to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play following Wednesday's game.

Walsh took 24 shots throughout the contest, 15 of which were on goal. Malone, meanwhile, took 12 shots, nine of which were on goal.
Cody Hilty had eight saves for the Pioneers, while allowing five goals.
Jon-Paul Alexis had two goals and an assist in the contest. He assisted Walsh's first goal in the ninth minute of play before scoring a goal of his own in the 26
th minute to give Walsh a 2-0 lead at the half. After two more Cavalier goals in the second half, Alexis scored again in the 63
rd minute to give Walsh the 5-0 lead.
Austin Coldsnow, a freshman from Lake High School, tallied his first collegiate goal for the Pioneers in Wednesday's contest. Coldsnow's goal came in the 77
th minute of play.
Joe Woodburn, a freshman from Jackson High School, had the assist.
The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday against the University of Findlay. Saturday's contest will be played at Perry High School's field at 3:00 p.m.
