The Malone University softball team will travel to Kentucky Wesleyan this weekend for their final series of the regular season. The Pioneers have won four straight games, the longest current winning streak in the conference, and will look to continue their winning ways in order to clinch a playoff spot. This will be the first time the Pioneers and Panthers will face off.

Malone is currently fifth in the conference standings with a 10-12 record against G-MAC opponents. Kentucky Wesleyan, who is one of three teams to have already clinched a playoff spot, is sitting at third place with a 14-8 conference record. In a tightly contested battle for tournament positioning, Malone could move up as high as the #3 seed or could fall to #7 and elimination. The Pioneers can control their own destiny and clinch a tournament berth by winning two out of four games against Kentucky Wesleyan.
