The Malone University football team suffered a 45-7 setback to Hillsdale College Saturday afternoon at Muddy Waters Stadium in Hillsdale, Michigan. The Pioneers spotted Hillsdale a 31-0 halftime lead as the Chargers scored on five of their six first-half possessions, recording four redzone rushing touchdowns and a 29-yard field goal. After being turned away on a turnover on downs on its first drive of the second half, Hillsdale made it a 38-0 lead on its second drive when quarterback Chance Stewart found senior lineman Jake Bull on a 1-yard tackle-eligible touchdown pass.

Malone avoided being shutout for the second-consecutive week with a late fourth-quarter touchdown.
