The Malone University volleyball team will be in search of its eighth straight win on Tuesday night when it travels to northern West Virginia to meet West Liberty University in a non-conference match at 7:00 pm. The Pioneers will pit their 12-4 record against the Hilltoppers' 10-8 mark as they try to match their longest winning streak since 2011.

Malone Notes 

• Junior outside hitter Veronica Gehring, the G-MAC East Division Player of the Week, tied a career-high with 17 kills in Malone's four-set triumph over Lake Erie on Saturday night. She has 15 or more kills in five of the Pioneers last six matches.
• In Friday night's three-set win over Ursuline, Faith Lau led Malone with 10 kills and then followed that up with 13 vs. Lake Erie. During Malone's win streak, she is hitting a team-best .292 with 55 kills.
• Mallory Adams has 71 kills over that same stretch. She has also averaged nearly three digs and over a block per set. On the season, she leads Malone in total blocks (67) and service aces (26).
• Right side hitters Hannah Eliason (55) and Rachel Santos (40) have combined for 95 kills over the last seven matches.
• The Malone attackers seem to have found a rhythm with the setter duo of Cathryn Miller and Abbie Swaino, hitting .239 in their last four matches
• The Malone defense has been terrific as well, limiting their opponents to a .123 attacking percentage during the win streak. Played out over the course of the season, that figure would rank 21st in DII.
• Libero Maggie Hamrock is averaging a team-high 3.75 digs per set this season and has a .942 reception percentage.
• Freshman middle Brooklyn Sullivan has 54 total blocks on the year, the 10th-most among freshmen in Division II.
• Across the last seven matches, defensive specialist Sydney Black is third on the team with 66 digs. On the season she is also second on the team with 19 service aces.
• As a team, Malone is 18th in the country with 111 service aces.
• Malone enters this Tuesday's match with a 5-1 record away from Osborne Hall. The Pioneers are also 3-0 this season in games played in West Virginia.

• The Hilltoppers, members of the Mountain East Conference, are coming off of a three-set sweep of Notre Dame (OH) on Saturday.
• Raimey Benson, one of 10 Ohio players on the WLU roster, led the squad with 16 kills in the match. She is averaging a team-high 2.65 kills per set this season.
• Libero Kailey Cunningham leads the Hilltoppers and is 7th in the nation in total digs (388). She is 20th in in digs per set (5.76).
