The Malone University men's soccer team lost to Alderson Broaddus University by a score of 7-0 on Thursday afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 1-13 (1-11 in the G-MAC) following the defeat.
 
Alderson Broaddus was firing on all cylinders throughout the contest. The Battlers out-shot Malone by a 28-5 margin. They scored on seven of their eleven shots on goal.
 
Shavon John-Brown achieved a hat-trick in the contest. John-Brown scored both of Alderson Broaddus' goals in the first half. After a goal by Oliver Korngor just two minutes into the second half, John-Brown struck again. His third goal came off of a penalty kick that gave the Battlers a 4-0 advantage.
 
Haris Miftari, Ashton Reel, and Jamu Villera each tacked on a goal in the second half of the contest.
 
The Pioneers will play their final home game of the season on Saturday at 1:00 against Davis & Elkins College. Saturday's contest will be played at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The team's final regular season contest of the season will be played at Walsh University next Tuesday.
