Last week, the Pioneers took two losses on a conference trip to Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan. On the trip, Robert Nemes scored his first goal of the season. This week, the Pioneers are coming home to Canton, where they have not lost so far this season, in hopes to right the ship and get back into the win column during their contest with Ashland on Wednesday.  Malone will then return to G-MAC play on Saturday with a road match at Ohio Valley.

We can look forward to a close fought game between Ashland and Malone. These two teams have been historically even with nine wins each and two ties in the twenty games they have played against each other. Both Ashland and Malone have scored four goals on the season, and both teams have one shutout on the season. Much like the Pioneers, the Ashland Eagles have struggled on the road this season and are fighting to get back into the win column.

The Fighting Scots are off to a good start so far this season. They are playing well on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field. Goal keeper Carlos Rubio, has recorded two shutouts for Ohio Valley already on the season. The team has eleven goals so far this season, which have been scored by nine different players. Nicolas Rodriguez and Diego Thielen lead the team with two goals apiece. Ohio Valley is currently ranked first in the G-MAC standings.
