The Malone University men's basketball team notched a convincing 64-47 home win over Ohio Dominican University on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers built a 38-29 halftime lead after shooting over 53% from the field during the first 20 minutes.
The Panthers cut the deficit to six after hitting a three-pointer on the opening possession of the final stanza. However, the 38-32 margin was as close as ODU would get. The Pioneers rattled off 11 straight points to regain control and then maintained a double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the contest.
The 17-point win marked Malone's largest margin of victory in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game since January of 2015 when the squad registered an 81-61 triumph at Grand Valley State University.
