- The Pioneers and first year head coach Rick Tice are still in search of their first victory after losing the second straight game on a last second layup, falling to Findlay 75-74 in overtime last Tuesday.
- The trio of Baylen Dyrlund, Rachel Goddard, and Hannah McCue all reached double-digits for the third time this season in the loss to Findlay while Chrissie Vaughan reached double-figures for the first time this season after accomplishing the feat 12 times as a freshman.
- Through three games, Dyrlund is averaging a team-high 16.7 points. She ranks 5th in the G-MAC in scoring, 4th in shooting (48.6%), and 6th in rebounding (7.0 rpg)
- Goddard ranks 7th in scoring (14.0) and 3rd in assists (6.3). After ranking 10th in the nation with a 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio last season, she has increased that value to 4.8 with 19 assists compared to just four turnovers on the season. After leading the GLIAC in minutes last year (35.8), she once again leads the conference with 38.7 mpg.
- Senior forward Hannah McCue is also among the G-MAC leaders in multiple categories. McCue is 10th in scoring (13.0 ppg), 2nd in rebounding (10.0 rpg), 10th in assists (3.0 apg), 3rd in blocked shots (2.0 bpg), and 4th in steals (2.3 spg). She is one of only two players in the conference among the top-10 in all five categories; the other being 2015-16 G-MAC Player of the Year Laney Lewis of Ursuline.
- Vaughan and reserve guard Mackenzie Storlie are among the G-MAC category leaders as well. Vaughan ranks 8th in three-point shooting percentage (37.5%), while Storlie is 10th in assists (3.0 apg)
- As a team, Malone ranks 1st in fewest turnovers (15.3 tpg) and free throw percentage (78.3%) and 2nd in rebounding (41.0) and rebounding margin (+2.7)

- The Rock are coming off an 0-3 week in which they lost an exhibition game against Division I Pitt (94-48) on Wednesday before falling to NCAA DII #3 Ashland 99-67 on Saturday and to future G-MAC school Hillsdale 68-63 on Sunday.
- Senior guard Lexi Carpenter led Slippery Rock in scoring during both games off the back-to-back with 13 against Ashland and 18 against Hillsdale. She is the only SRU player averaging double-digit points, posting 16.3 ppg. Through six games, she also leads the squad in assists (26), steals (9), and blocks (7) while chipping in with 4.3 rebounds a game.
- Leading rebounders Mallory Henle (6.5 rpg) and Morgan Henderson (6.2 rpg) average 8.3 and 9.7 points respectively.
- Freshman guard Brooke Hinderliter checks in with 8.8 points per contest.
- Slippery Rock is allowing ooponents to score 77.2 ppg while shooting 41.8% from the field.
- The Rock is shooting 38.8% from the floor while scoring 67.8 points per contest.
