The Malone University women's soccer team fell to Trevecca Nazarene in Saturday afternoon's game 3-0. The Pioneers drop to 5-7-1 on the season, and the Trojans move to 9-3-1 on the season, sustaining their spot as the leader in the G-MAC.
 
Trevecca's first goal of the game came on a penalty kick from Chelsey Russom in the fourteenth minute of the game. Russom's goal was her seventh on the season, tying her for third in the conference.
 
Trevecca would score one more time before the half. That second goal came from Riley Engels in the 33
rd minute. Engels headed the ball in from a cross by Lauren Winters. The goal was Engels' first on the season.
 
The Trojans added one goal for insurance to give them the 3-0 victory. The third goal of the afternoon came from Lauren Winters, who had an assist earlier in the game.
 
The Pioneers went 2-1 this week on their home stand. They will back at home for two more games next week. The first of which will be next Thursday, September 13
th at 4:00 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
